We're already hard at work on the 2012-13 edition of Southern New England Home, available in mid-July. You can find the 2011-12 edition of Southern New England Home at newsstands throughout Southern New England and in suburban New York City locations. It's also widely available at the locations of our advertisers. Additionally, we're happy to mail you copy. Meet Our Team
Editorial Director, Jennifer Kain DeFoe: Jennifer has written for many area publications including Boston Magazine , Yankee Magazine and the Cape Cod Times . Her areas of focus include home building and interior design, food and restaurants, personality profiles and travel. Her work has been recognized with awards from the New England Associated Press News Executives Association and various other organizations. She has lived on Cape Cod, year-round, for nearly 30 years and now resides in Harwich with her husband.
Creative Director, Chris Lewis: Chris is an award-winning publication designer and photographer with over 20 years experience in magazine design. He's worked as the creative director for several publishing companies in Boston and New York and on Cape Cod and specializes in launch design, magazine redesign and art direction. Clients have ranged from regional lifestyle magazines to B-to-B magazines for Fortune 500 global technology corporations. His most recent launch designs were for Southern New England Living, AirSylhet (an Austrian airline), Global HighTech Summit (Microsoft Corp.) and Chatham Magazine. He lives on Massachusetts' South Shore with his wife and three sons.
Art Director, Sharon Bartholomew: Sharon earned her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and began her career in fine art photography. Sharon's fine arts background is a great complement to her design experience, giving her a diverse technical skill set and critical eye. Her love for art and design, and a true love of working with clients, led her to pursue a career in publishing. She lives in Marion with her husband Tom and two young children.
Managing Editor, Danielle Cort: As the editor of Southern New England Weddings: Destination Edition and managing editor for Lighthouse Publications, Danielle blends her strong passion for writing with her admiration for the New England area. As an editor and writer for lifestyle, home and travel publications throughout the region, Danielle's biggest joy comes in the form of telling a beautiful story using the written word. Danielle lives in Rhode Island.
Assistant Editor, Rachel Arroyo: After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in English she began working in an editorial position at Northeast Publications, the former publishers of Cape Cod Travel Guide, Golf on Cape Cod and Home Remodeling, Cape Cod, the Islands & South Coast magazines. There she covered stories ranging from chef and business profiles to home remodeling projects, reviews and trends. In 2009 she became an assistant editor for Lighthouse Publications, where she continues to explore the world through words.
Chatty Brides/Assistant Editor, Lauren LaBelle: Lauren LaBelle was born and raised in New England. She spent her youth in New Hampshire and studied Journalism at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She has edited and written for Slammed Magazine in Boston, and Valley Lifestyles Magazine, San Joaquin Magazine, San Joaquin Weddings Magazine, and San Joaquin Home Magazine in Northern California. Lauren now lives in Providence, RI with her husband and their crazy daughter.
Jaci Conry, editor of Southern New England Living: A former editor for Forbes, South Shore Living, Cape Cod Life and the Cape Cod Guide , Jaci recently published her first book: A History Through Houses: Cape Cods Varied Residential Architecture. She also writes for publications including The Boston Globe Magazine, Boston Home, Better Homes & Gardens, Dwell and New England Home. She lives on Cape Cod with her husband and young son.
Rob Duca, managing editor of Golf & Leisure Cape Cod : Rob is a member of the Golf Writers Association of America and has been a sports columnist and feature writer for 33 years, including 25 at the Cape Cod Times, where he covered the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins. Rob's major assignments have included the World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup finals, Ryder Cup, Winter Olympics, NCAA basketball and hockey, the Boston Marathon and U.S. Open. He has also written for The Boston Globe, The Barnstable Patriot, Yankee Magazine and Cape Cod Life. His writing has earned more than 30 national and regional awards. Rob lives in Plymouth.
